Donnie Yen será el mítico Sun Wukong, el Rey Mono de la clásica novela china Viaje al Oeste en la adaptación de la misma que dirigirá Soi Cheang. La película que llevará de título Monkey King: Wreaking Havoc in Heavenly Palace y un coste de 250 millones de yuanes será, como no, rodada en 3D.
